HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (April 08, 2013/1:00 PM) – On April 5, 2013, drug investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year old Juan Marquis Clarke and 25-year old Rosetta Shatice Jones on drug charges.
Investigators had received information that illegal drugs were being sold from unit #107 in Hilton Head Gardens (11 Southwood Park Dr). Investigators were able to conduct controlled drug purchases from the residence, which resulted in a search warrant being obtained.
At approximately 5 am last Friday, the search warrant was executed. At the time of execution, investigators made contact with Clarke, Jones and two small children in the apartment. As a result of the search, a handgun and quantities of marijuana, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and various pills were discovered and seized. It was also determined that Clarke was in violation of an active trespass notice for the complex.
Both Clarke and Jones were arrested, and the children were placed in the care of family members. Additional charges may be sought pending chemical analysis of seized substances.
Clarke and Jones were both charged with the following:
Simple Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Cocaine
Possession of Crack Cocaine
Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule II
Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule III
Possession with intent to Distribute Schedule IV
Possession with intent to Distribute Schedule IV within ½ Mile of a School
Clarke was also additionally charged with Trespass After Notice

1 – Luger 9mm handgun
Approximately 2.7 g of marijuana
Approximately 0.2 g of powder cocaine
Approximately 0.1 g of crack cocaine
35 – Schedule IV pills
4- Schedule III pills
2- Schedule II pills
