Suspects Arrested on Drug Charges

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (January 11/2:00 PM) – On January 6th, members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force (DTF) arrested two subjects on drug charges at Ceasar Place on Hilton Head Island.

At approximately 1:00 am on January 6th, Beaufort County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 234 Cesar Place in reference to a female who reportedly fell from the second story of her residence.  Upon arrival, they made contact with 37-year old Tina York had sustained minor injuries as a result of falling from the roof of her home. While talking with deputies, York made several statements about killing people in her residence, and it appeared that York was disoriented and confused.

Deputies then made contact with a second subject, 32-year old Tiffany Hale, who also lived at the residence. During a check of the home deputies found what appeared to be methamphetamine in small plastic bags. At that time, DTF investigators were notified and responded.

A search warrant was obtained and was executed at approximately 3:00 am.  As a result of the subsequent search, investigators recovered approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine from the home.  Deputies also located prescription pills which were not prescribed to either of the subjects. 

As a result of ensuing investigation Tiffany Hale was placed under arrest for numerous drug charges.  Tina York was transported to the Hilton Head Hospital where she was treated and released the following day. Upon her release she was taken into custody and transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center where she currently remains. This is an ongoing continues and additional arrests are anticipated.

  • Possession of Scheduled IV Drugs

Tina Lashae York (37)
234 Ceasar Place, Hilton Head

Charges:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine within ½ mile of a School
  • Possession of Scheduled III Drugs
  • Possession of Scheduled IV Drugs

Seized:

  • Methamphetamine (Approximately 18 grams)
  • Scheduled drugs (12 tablets)
  • Drug paraphernalia (Miscellaneous)
